Black Rope Stanchions

A weighted black post, 89 cm to the ball on top, strung to the next one with 5 ft of velvet rope on carabiner clips. It marks a route that is not meant to move.

Black asks least of the room. It sits against dark carpet, wood and painted walls without competing. It carries a week of handling without showing it, which is why venues keep it for repeat work rather than for one evening.

The rope does the talking. Red against black photographs the way people expect; navy or black marks the route without drawing a camera to it. Pick from the rope range once you know which of those two jobs the line is doing.

If the queue has to open and close during the day this is the wrong post — a rope has to be unhooked and carried. Use Classic Black instead.
