Terms of service

OVERVIEW Welcome to Stanchions Vancouver. The terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Stanchions Vancouver, a provider of stanchion and event accessory rentals. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, products, and rental services (the "Services").
By using our Services, including submitting an order, receiving deliveries, or browsing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions herein, you may not access the Services.
1. Rental Agreement
1.1 Rental Period
The rental period begins on the agreed date and ends when all rented items are returned to Stanchions Vancouver.
1.2 Use of Equipment
Rented items are to be used solely for crowd control, event organization, or decorative purposes. Misuse, alteration, or unauthorized relocation of equipment is strictly prohibited.
2. Reservation Terms
Quotes do not guarantee availability. Your booking is only confirmed after full payment. Please double-check all event info (including delivery time/date) before signing. Stanchions Vancouver is not responsible for errors in submitted details.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Pricing
All prices are quoted in Canadian Dollars (CAD). The total rental fee includes delivery (if agreed), rental duration, and applicable taxes.
3.2 Payment Due
Full payment is due before or upon delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.3 Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit may be required in some cases. The deposit will be returned after the equipment is returned in good condition.
4. Delivery and Pickup
4.1 Delivery
Delivery is available within the Greater Vancouver Area. The delivery window must be scheduled and confirmed in advance.
4.2 Return
Clients are responsible for returning all items on time. If pickup by our team is requested, this must be agreed upon and included in the rental invoice.
5. Loss or Damage
5.1 Responsibility
The client assumes full responsibility for the rented equipment from the time of delivery until it is returned.
5.2 Damaged or Missing Items
Clients will be charged replacement or repair costs for any items that are damaged, lost, or stolen during the rental period.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
6.1 Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the delivery date are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made 24-48 hours prior to delivery are subject to a 50% charge.
- No-shows or cancellations less than 24 hours will be charged 100% of the rental fee.
7. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for:
- Ensuring equipment is not exposed to extreme weather (e.g., rain, snow) unless previously discussed.
- Making sure that all items are ready for pickup at the agreed time and location.
- Providing access to the event location for timely delivery and pickup.
8. Limitation of Liability
Stanchions Vancouver is not liable for:
- Any injuries, accidents, or damages arising from the misuse of rented equipment.
- Event delays or damages caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as extreme weather, road closures, or force majeure.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and applicable Canadian federal laws.
10. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always be available on our website or upon request.
