Classic Black
Matte black post, weighted base, 8 ft of webbing belt on a spring inside the head. Let go of the belt and it winds itself back in.
That is the whole argument. A line built from these is widened, narrowed or opened without anyone fetching more equipment — unclip, walk the belt across, clip. The head takes four belts, its own plus three arriving from other posts, so a run can turn or branch anywhere without a different part.
Black is the working finish: it reads as equipment rather than decoration and hides what a busy floor does to anything at ankle height. Each post stands 96 cm on a 12.6 in base and weighs 9 kg, so one person carries two.
Put a topper sign on the first post where the wait needs explaining. Carry a spare belt cassette on a long order — the belt is the part that goes first.
