Hiring Barriers by the Run
Barriers are quoted by the length of line you need held, not by the piece. Pace the perimeter first and divide by 6.9 ft — that is what one joined section adds — then add the breaks back in.
Before You Send the Numbers
- Where it opens. Every run needs gaps for pedestrians, vehicles and an exit route. Decide those on a drawing; moving a gap on the day means unhooking half a run.
- What holds it down. Long outdoor runs catch wind like a sail. Ballast at the feet or a change of angle beats ordering more sections.
- How it gets in. Steel is heavy and it arrives on a truck. Tell us the access, the gate width and whether there is a lift between the street and the site.
Terms
A day to several weeks, the same as everything else. Delivery is quoted by destination. Self-pickup downtown works for small counts but stops being sensible somewhere around a dozen sections.
Panel dimensions and the choice between the two heights are on the barriers page. Indoors a queue usually wants stanchions instead. Anything outside crowd control sits under other event rentals.
