Gold reads as ceremony, which is what a premiere, a gala entrance or a ribbon cutting wants — the line itself is being photographed and the equipment is in the picture. It is the wrong choice in a room trying to look restrained, because gold cannot be made to recede.

It travels with the carpet, standard at 6 ft across, so the posts stand at its edges rather than on it. Stocked lengths run 10, 15 and 25 ft with other sizes cut to order. Order both against the same measurement.
