Gold Rope Stanchions

That makes it wrong for a working queue and right for an arrival: award nights, galas, the fifteen metres between a car door and a photographer.

Gold wants warm light and a dark ground under it. Under flat daylight in a convention hall it looks thin, where the silver post holds up better. Red rope is the expected pairing; black or navy from the rope range tones it down. Each 5 ft rope clips on with a carabiner, so a span comes off in seconds.
