Carts

Two carts. The choice between them is settled by the building rather than by preference.

Walk the route the posts will travel: the loading bay, the lift, the service corridor, the doorway onto the floor. If anything along it is low, the horizontal cart is the only one that gets through, because it carries the posts lying down. If the route is clear but the store room is tight, the vertical cart stands them upright and gives you the floor space back.

There is a second, quieter difference. Loading a vertical cart is done standing; loading a horizontal one means bending to the deck once per post. Over forty posts at the end of a night that is the part the crew remembers. Renting carts alongside an order is covered on the trolleys page.
