Caution Retractable Belt

An 8 ft belt that says why the way is shut. It does a job a plain one cannot.

An unmarked belt across a lift, a stairwell or a wet floor reads as somebody having forgotten to move it. A printed one reads as a decision: people stop looking for a way round and stop asking staff whether it still applies.

Order these for closures rather than queues — a working line does not need the word, which is how using it there weakens it everywhere else on the floor. Where the closure needs more than one word, add a topper sign on the post.
